Ask the Norns

Ask the Norns

In Norse mythology the Norns were three female deities who spun thread and wove fabric to determine the fates of humans and gods alike. Often one of them negated the gifts of the other two or turned them into a curse. This reading provides yes-no answers to simple questions. Be sure your question is simple. Then choose the reading and evaluate the three runes to determine the answer. If you get WYRD as one of your runes, it is not yet time to judge the question or there are too many variables to receive a clear answer.

1. First Rune

Position one addresses the past, relative to your question. It shows what has led to your present state of mind.
Wyn

Wyn / joy

Joy is the fundamental meaning of WYN. This rune is well-placed anywhere in your reading, but especially so in the future or outcome. There is a balance between the obvious beneficial qualities of joy and the calm which it leaves in its wake. A fair-haired visitor may play a role in affairs where WYN is present; certainly you have the joyous feeling of the fair-haired child.

2. Second Rune

This rune is for the present. In addition, rune 2 can represent your present STATE OF MIND,
Lagu

Lagu / lake

LAGU points out your intuitive or psychic connections to the world around you. The flowing energies around you are more evident where this rune falls. Allow your attention to focus on inner feelings and psychic awareness can develop. LAGU also indicates females are involved in the question. When in doubt, seek the female connection socially, the intuitive connection on the inner plane.

3. Third Rune

Rune three looks into the future. It says something about the RESULT.
Man

Man / man

MAN is the rune for mankind, and reminds you that your associations with others are important at this time. Seek help with important decisions from people whose opinions you respect in the area of your question. This is not a co-dependent sort of leaning on others; rather it indicates the healthy cooperative relationships we all value. Look also to your own areas of expertise.
